The importance of art

In school, artistic classes are extremely important. Not only do they offer a break from all the boring academic classes, but  they are very relevant outside of school. Where do you think all the graphic designers, artists and theater performers come from? These people offer a very important service to society. Without the arts, there is no culture. These occupations really help enhance people's lives and show them how talented artists are. If we only used school for training future workers, these occupations would become few and far between, if not they may disappear completely. Artists and designers help create businesses, events and even popular franchises loved by millions. Theater performers bring joy to millions of people. Please rethink this next time you say school should only be used for training new workers and nothing else.
